Ludhiana/Punjab (November 07, 2012): As the Barack Hussein Obama has been elected as President of the United States for the second time, many Sikhs circles have hailed his victory and sent Obama congratulatory messages. It is learnt that American Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (AGPC) and All India Sikh Students Federation have sent the congratulatory messages to US President.
Ontario, Canada (November 07, 2012): Canadian Sikhs have applauded Australian M.P. Warren Entsch's efforts for tabling a petition of 4453 signatures in Australian Parliament to recognize the November 1984 killings of Sikhs in India as a genocide.
Chandigarh/India (November 07, 2012): It is learnt that the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Chandigarh has fixed November 27, 2012 as the court date to hear arguments for summoning former Premier of British Columbia and a Canadian NRI politician Ujjal Dosanjh in a “defamation” case.

New Delhi/Ludhaina, India (November 06, 2012): India has once again shouted it's alleged concerns about so-called “Sikh extremism” in Canada. According to media reports: “It’s the latest in a string of efforts by Indian authorities, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, to press Ottawa to stay vigilant about Sikhs in Canada who favour the establishment of Khalistan”.
Chandigarh, Punjab (November 05, 2012): As per reports the members of Students for Society (SFS) organized a demonstration on November 04, 2012 at Punjab University, Chandigarh campus demanding justice for the victims of November 1984 violence against the Sikhs.
As per news reports a 31-year-old Severna Park man who said he is following directions from God to visit sites of tragedies in the United States was recently detained and interviewed by authorities after ammunition was found in his car outside the Sikh Gurudwara of Wisconsin, where a gunman killed six worshippers and himself in August, police reported.
California (November 05, 2012): According to reports a Southern California school district has allowed Sikh students to wear the Kirpan in school. It is learnt that at least three high school students in the Jurupa Unified School District will be allowed to wear the approximately 2-inch Kirpan at school after ensuring certain safety measures.
Lahore/Pakistan (November 05, 2012): Rubabi Bhai Lal has passed away. He was 17th generation descendent of Bhai Mardana Ji – a companion of first Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He was undergoing treatment in a hospital at Lahore as he had suffered a heart attack few days back.
Chandigarh/Punjab (November 05, 2012): According to media reports Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has refused to grant clearance to a Punjabi film titled “Sadda Haq” that reportedly depict real life events 1980-90s Punjab.
Amritsar/Punjab (November 04, 2012): It is learnt that 3 days ahead of the visit of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the Dal Khalsa has sent him a memorandum, sharing with him its concerns and thoughts about Sikhs in India and Canada.
Ludhiana/Jalandhar, Punjab (November 05, 2012): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Jaswant Singh Azad, a British Citizen who was booked by Jalandhar police under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, has been booked in another case under UA(P)A by Ludhiana police.
London, UK (November 04, 2012): In a press statement the National Sikh Youth Federation (NSYF), a UK based Sikh youth body, has revealed it's plans to hold an exhibition on various places in the UK. This is the first exhibition of this nature, curated by a team of professionals, which has been developed within the Sikh community.
Toronto Canada (November 03, 2012): While PM Harper is on a visit to India, thousands of Canadians gathered in Toronto to protest against the ongoing impunity to the members of the ruling Congress party of India, who organized genocidal attacks on Sikhs during November 1984. The gathering urged Canadian Prime Minister to raise with his Indian counterpart, the issues of denial of justice to the victims of the 1984 Sikh Genocide and India’s nefarious campaign against Canadians branding them as “supporters of terrorism”.

Mohali, Punjab (November 03, 2012): Khalistan ideologue Dr. Sohan Singh passed away on October 31, 2012 at the age of 98. He was cremated in Mohali on November 01, 2012. Dr. Sohan Singh died of old age after a brief illness and He is Survived by four sons.
