Former Badal Dal MP Tarlochan Singh Tur joins Aam Aadmi Party; May contest LS polls from Khadoor Sahib

Tarn Taran, Punjab (March 19, 2014): It is learnt that Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) leader and three-time former MP Tarlochan Singh Tur has reportedly joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Announcement in this regard was made by former MP Tur at Tarn Taran on March 18.

According to information Aam Aadmi Party is likely to get AAP’s ticket from Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.

Boota Singh, district convener, AAP, reportedly said Tarlochan Singh Tur had joined the party along with his supporters.

Tarlochan Singh Tur, son of late SAD (Badal) Mohan Singh Tur, was elected to the Lok Sabha from Tarn Taran in 1985, 1998 and 1999.

Daily Ajit has termed Tur’s exit from Badal Dal as a major set-back for the ruling party in Khadoor Sahib constituency.
