Gurdwara Jandalisar Sahib was under control of Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal for past few years, but after Daduwal’s arrest on August 21, 2014 the management of Gurdwara was taken over by SGPC member Amrik Singh Kotshamir.

Balwinder Singh, Mohinder Singh and Ujagar Singh, all residents of the village, yesterday (Oct. 16) submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Basant Garg at the mini secretariat. They said their family had donated land for the Jandalisar Gurdwara and bowing to popular sentiment, Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal was handed over charge of the Gurdwara.

With Daduwal, who was arrested on August 22, out on bail, the village residents wanted that the gurdwara charge be given back to him. They alleged that Amrik Singh Kotshamir, a Badal Dal leader, was trying to hand over the Grudwara to his aides by setting up a committee with the help of the police.
