Harminder Singh Mintoo sent to Nabha jail after 4 days remand by Gurdaspur court

Gurdaspur, Punjab: The court of Girish, duty magistrate of Gurdaspur, yesterday (on Dec. 26) sent Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo to judicial custody for fourteen days till January 9, 2014. Bhai Mintoo was presented before the court after expiry of four days police remand in FIR No. 83, dated 15-09-2013 under sections 17, 18 and 19 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967; sections 153-A and 120-B of Indian Penal Code, 1872 and section 25 of Arms Act. The case was registered at police station Purana Shalla, district Gurdaspur.

As the police did not ask for further remand, the duty magistrate sent Harminder Singh Mintoo to Maximum Security Jail, Nabha on judicial custody.

Harminder Singh Minttoo’s council Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Punjab police has named Bhai Minttoo in eleven cases so far. Police of different districts may seek his police remand in coming days.
