Badals, SGPC not serious on getting Sikh political prisoners released from Indian jails: Mann Dal

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) president Simranjit Singh Mann on Saturday (Dec. 26) said the Badal government and the SGPC were not serious on getting released the Sikhs who were behind bars in India despite having completed the terms of their sentences.

Speaking at the SAD (A) conference at the Shaheedi Sabha at Fatehgarh Sahib, Simranjeet Singh Mann said, “The Punjab government did not let Gurbaksh Singh continue his struggle in Punjab, so he moved to Haryana where he is getting support even from overseas.”

“We Sikhs are peace-loving and those who are trying to destroy the peace of Punjab will not be spared”, he added.

SAD (A) president said, “The state government has failed to check drugs in Punjab. Moreover, they are promoting it. The state government does not believe in punishing criminals as they are busy filling their own pockets.”
