Uttarakhand: Two Sikh pilgrims reportedly died while returning from Sri Hemkunt Sahib yesterday when their motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway in Tehri district.
As per a news reported by the Sikh Channel: [t]he accident took place at Totaghati near Devprayag at 11.30 am when the youths, hailing from Amritsar, were returning on a motorcycle from the Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib in Garhwal Himalayas, Devprayag police station incharge Hemant
Khanduri said.
The deceased have been identified as Vikramjit Singh (22) and Vir Singh (21).
Both of them were killed on spot, Khanduri said, adding, a case has been registered and a search launched to track down the unidentified vehicle which knocked down the bikers.
