Panj Piyare articulated the will of the Panth: Dal Khalsa

Amritsar- Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh today while endorsing the decision of the Panj Piyare ordering the SGPC to remove the Takhat Jathedar’s, said Panth has spoken through the Five beloved Ones of Akal Takhat. In other words, the organization said Panj Piyare have articulated the will and desire of the Khalsa Panth.

Kanwar Pal Singh, who was released on bail from Amritsar jail after 14 days of detention for waging poster campaign against the faulty decision of the Takhat Jathedar’s in pardoning heretical cult head Gurmeet Ram Rahim while talking with the media outside Akal Takhat secretariat said the SAD and SGPC should read the writing on the wall. Being appointing authority of Takhat jathedar’s, they should remove all the present incumbents as they had lost the credibility and trust of the community. He said Akali politics have done enough damage to religious institutions and now Khalsa panth is up in arms against the wrongdoings of Akali Dal. “Both Akalis and Jathedar’s were equally guilty of creating situations that has put the panth into deep crisis”. Noting the significance of present situation, he said earlier, executive members of SGPC have removed the Jathedar’s on the behest of their political masters but this time it is the entire Panth that’s urging the sacking of present incumbents”. .

On Panj Piyara institution, he said when Panth is in crisis, five baptized Sikhs who are committed to Panthic ideals and adhere by Sikh Rehat Maryada, can challenge anyone who is guilty of damaging and ruining the Sikh principles, maryada,and honour of the community. he lauded the courage shown by Five beloved ones in rising to the occasion. He said in the Badal regime when pasting posters urging the Sangat to boycott Jathedar’s can become crime, Panj Piyare’s have acted boldly as per the wishes of the Sikh Sangat. .

Akali Dal Panch Pardani leader Harpal Singh Cheema reiterated that Jathedar’s should be shown the doors immediately as they had lost the faith and face. He was even critical of Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar for his somersault in this matter. .

Dal Khalsa’s Sarabjit Singh Ghuman and Gagandeep Singh were also present on the occasion.
