Simranjeet Singh Mann did not speak on Sarbat Khalsa 2015 event

Tarn Taran: S. Simranjeet Singh Mann, president of the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann)- who was one of the main organizers of the Sikh gathering at Chabba village near Tarn Taran did not address the gathering. S. Mann’s name was announed as last three speakers during the Samagam and he was even called on the mic, but later it was announced that the has decided not to speak as he was not feeling well.

The name of S. Simranjeet Singh Mann was announced soon after the resolutions were read during the samagam but Bhai Mohkam Singh, who had taken over the charge of the stage by that time announced that the newly appointed Jathedars would be honored with Siropas. S. Mann was there on the stage during the Siropa ceremony

After the Siropa ceremony, Bhai Mohkam Singh announced that S. Simranjeet Singh Mann had decided to not to speak as he was not feeling well. “As the Sangat knows that S. Mann remained admitted to the PGI hospital in the past and he is not feeling well now. So he had decided not to speak here” announced Bhai Mohkam Singh.

Where other main organizers of the event gave their bytes to the Sikh Siyasat News after the conclusion of the event, S. Simranjeet Singh declined to issue any comments.

However, the SAD (Amritsar) president reportedly talked to Zee (Punjab-Haryana). On being asked about the issue of the Khalistan, he said that the issue of Khalistan was there in the resolutions read out during the samagam. On being asked that whether his party would contest 2017 upcoming elections unitedly with the United AkalI Dal, he said that if the unity would last that long then they would content elections jointly.
