Panj Pyare calls for social boycott of Giani Gurbachan Singh & others

Amritsar: Panj Pyare of the Akal Takhat Sahib today called for social boycott of Giani Gurbachan Singh and other persons who were participant to the decision to grant pardon to Dera Sauda Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
It is notable that Panj Pyare were dismissed from their services as SGPC employees by the SGPC executive yesterday but the Panj Pyare today held their meeting at Angitha Sahib (13 Shaheed Singh of Saka 1978) in wake of restrictions imposed by the police. The meeting was attended by Bhai Satnam Singh Khanda, Bhai Satnam Singh, Bhai Major Singh, Bhai Tarlok Singh and Bhai Mangal Singh.
Panj Pyare announce their decision
In a written message the Panj Pyare said that Giani Gurachan Singh and other persons who were participants to the decision to grant pardon to dera chief have lost their status as “Jathedars” and they have violated Panthic tenets and called for their social boycott.
The Panj Pyare also held SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar and SGPC chief secretary Harcharan Singh Brar guilty for not relieving Giani Gurbachan Singh and other concerned persons from their services as “Jathedars. They said that the Sikh panth should take decision about the matter of Avtar Singh Makkar and Harcharan Singh Brar for their aforesaid misdeeds.
