London: The Sikh Federation UK, a UK based Sikh diaspora group, has launched an “International four day social media campaign in context of Punjab Elections” on February 01. “A serious charge will be laid each day for the next four days. Voters will be encouraged to punish those guilty on 4 February 2017 via the ballot box”, reads a promotional poster released by the Sikh Federation UK.
The Sikh body is focussing on certain issues through this campaign which include issues like: “who eliminated a generation of Sikhs through torture, disappearances and fake encounters?”, “who led Sikh Genocide in November 1984”, “who has failed to prosecute those responsible for the November 1984 Sikh genocide?”, “who tried to discredit the Sikh freedom movement by using black cat police officials to target and kill innocent Hindus?” and “who has promoted and has protected human rights abusers?”.
Sikh Federation UK has put blames on Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Badal, Bikram Majithia, Capt. Amarinder Singh, KPS Gill, Narendra Modi, Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for ‘widespread human rights abuses and lack of justice’, ‘corrupt leadership destroying people of Punjab’, ‘for trying to side out the Sikh faith and Sikh way of life’ and ‘Sikh Genocide 1984’.
