AAP Workers manhandled in Dhuri Constituency

Dhuri: As per the media reports emanating from Dhuri constituency AAP workers here today has alleged that Congress candidate, Dalvir Singh Goldy, manhandled them along with his supporters in Sultanpur village at a booth in the constituency.

However, police reached on the spot and assured the AAP workers to take appropriate action.

“Our two workers were beaten up by Dalvir Goldy. The victims have been hospitalised”, Jasbir Singh Sekhon, an AAP  candidate from Dhuri told the media.

“We are investigating the matter. According to initial information two persons were injured. The further actions will be taken after investigation” said, Bhupinder Singh, in-charge police post, Ranike.

Dalvir Goldy could not be contacted despite many attempts for his comments on this issue.

In the video, in Punjabi, as the police officer says that investigation into the incident was underway, AAP workers can be heard demanding “justice”.
