Fatehgarh Sahib: Former MP and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) chief S. Simranjit Singh Mann has warned Hindutva outfit Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat against creating communal harmony by issues ‘highly objectionable’ statements terming everyone born in the Indian subcontinent as ‘Hindu’. He was speaking during a samagam held at Fatehgarh Sahib on Sunday (Feb. 12) to remember great Sikh martyr of 20th century- Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
“The statement of RSS chief terming everyone residing in the peninsula as ‘Hindus’ tends to deeply hurt the seniments of minority communities residing in this sub-continent which could lead to disturbances”, said S. Simranjit Singh Mann while maintaining that the Sikh nation won’t accept such the forcible imposition of such baseless notions by ‘extremist rulers’.
