Another Arrest in Ghawaddi Beadbi Accused’s Murder Case

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana police have arrested another person in relation to murder of Balwinder Kaur of Ghawaddi (Ludhiana) who was facing charges of committing beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib. Balwinder was gunned down near Alamgir in Ludhiana district on in July last year.

The police have arrested nine persons so far in this case.

Defence counsel Advo. Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Darshan Singh alias Babbu s/o Karnail Singh, r/o Village Rauni, Tehsil Payal, District Ludhiana was presented before the court of judicial magistrate (first class) Lovejinder Kaur who committed him to judicial custody. He said that Darshan Singh was sent to central jail, Ludhiana.

Advo. Manjhpur said that this case was registered under FIR no. 92/2016, u/s 302/34/120B IPC, s. 25 Arms Act and sections 10/11/13/17/20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at police station Dehlon.

“The police has named 13 persons in case of which arrested 9 have been arrested so far. Of these 9 persons 5 are out on bail”, he added.
