Capt. Amarinder Singh wins from Pataila; Looses to Parkash Singh Badal from Lambi

Patiala: The Congress party returned to power in Punjab after counting of votes for Punjab assembly elections were held today. Congress has already secured majority in Punjab state assembly while counting for votes was still continuing for some seats in Punjab.
Punjab Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh won with a huge margin form Patiala constituency. Capt. Amarinder secure 72,586 votes and defeated Balbir Singh of Aam Aadmi Party with a margin on 52407 votes. Balbir Singh was able to bag 20179 votes only. Gen. JJ Singh of SAD (Badal) lasted third as he was able to bag 11677 votes only.

Notably Capt. Amarinder was also contesting election from Lambi where he lost the election to SAD (Badal) parton Parkash Singh Badal with a margin of 22770 votes. Parkash Singh Badal bagged 66375 votes while Amarinder was able to secure 43605 votes only. AAP leader Jarnail Singh secured 21254 votes only.
