Aam Aadmi Party’s Dakha MLA Harvinder Singh Phoolka has been chosen as the leader of the opposition while Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira will be the party’s chief whip in the 15th Vidhan Sabha in Punjab, reports Hindustan Times (HT).
The decision in this regard was taken by Aam Aadmi Party leadership in a meeting at Delhi.
As per information the name of Harwinder Singh Phoolka was proposed by Talwandi Sabo MLA Prof. Baljinder Kaur.
Kultar Singh Sandhwan, the AAP MLA from Kotkapura said that a review of the reasons why AAP could not win the polls in Punjab will be done later. “However the party convener Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi has been asked to start taking feedback from all the winning as well as the losing candidates of what they thought were the factor that worked towards their results,” he said.
