Chandigarh: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday ordered the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe the murder case of Ludhiana based pro-hindutva leader Ravinder Gosai, media reports said. He was the Sangh Pracharak at the RSS Mohan Shakha in Ludhiana.
Interestingly, the case is already under investigation and earlier this month it was claimed by the Punjab Police that they have apprehended the suspects in this case. It was further claimed by the police that it was a major conspiracy by the ISI to fan communal disturbance in the state.
Earlier, state Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had apparently claimed that the suspects had a role in the murders of other leaders, including Amit Sharma, publicity manager of Sri Hindu Takht, in Ludhiana in January 2017; Durga Dass Gupta in Khanna in April 2016; Pastor Sultan Masih in Ludhiana in July 2017; Dera Sacha Sauda follower Satpal Kumar and his son in Khanna in February 2017, notes Indian Express (IE).
