Punjabi University Students Protest Against Depiction Of Sikh Gurus In Dastan-E-Miri-Piri Movie [Video]

Patiala: Students and Research Scholar of Punjabi University, Patiala held a symbolic protest against depiction of Sikh Guru Sahib in Dastan-e-Miri-Piri cartoon/animation movie. Students gathered at the main entrance gate of the university campus at around 8am and held a peaceful demonstration for two hours. At around 10 am they held a march from main gate to Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha Library. Students were holding placards and charts displaying their message that depiction of Sikh Gurus through any sort of visual means was against the Sikh ethos. They demanded that the film Dastan-e-Miri-Piri must be stopped. Students did not raise any sort of slogans and maintained a sincere atmosphere while strongly putting forward their view-point.
