Truth About Gurbani Broadcast From Sri Harmandar Sahib: Fact Finding Report Released by Probe Panel

A Committee formed by the Sikh Sangat to examine the entire gamut of issues relating to the broadcast of Gurbani from Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Amritsar in the context of Gurmat principles, laws and financial aspects submitted its report entitled Truth About Gurbani Telecast From Sri Harmandar Sahib. The report was released by human rights activist Prof. Jagmohan Singh, Senior journalists Jaspal Singh Sidhu and Chanchal Manohar Singh, writer and analyst Ajaypal Singh Brar and young journalists Bibi Harsharan Kaur and Parmjeet Singh Gazi after it had been sent to the Sikh apex body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for consideration and necessary action.

The fact-finding team examined documents and agreements of the SGPC relating to broadcasting of Gurbani and all of these are annexed to the report and made public.

This report based on facts strongly maintains that the present monopolistic hold over Gurbani telecast must be replaced with a selfless, all-embracing Sangat-based collective system, methodology and management.
