Addressing the media at Chandigarh, AAP leader Jarnail Singh asked Narendra Modi to reinvestigate the cases in next 3 months or let AAP government do it. “AAP will hold a 1 day hunger strike on Thursday at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mohali to support the victims of 1984.” said Jarnail.

Jarnail Singh said that victims have failed to get justice even after 32 years of 1984 genocide and the culprits are roaming freely. He said that AAP government in Delhi formed SIT to investigate the cases of 1984 genocide during its 49 days term but just before 2 days of formation of new government in Delhi on February 12, 2015 central government formed its own SIT. The SIT promised to re-open the cases in 6 months but failed to do it even after 2 years of its formation.

Jarnail Singh raised concern over the clean chit given to Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar by Captain Amrinder Singh. He said that it is really unfortunate that Amrinmder Singh gave clean chit to congress leader just to appease his political bosses.

Jarnail Singh said that close aide of Jagdish Tytler, Abhishek Verma admitted that to prevent Narinder Singh Son of Granthi Surinder Singh to give statement against Jagdish Tytler he was sent to Canada through his Atlis Company and given 50 thousand dollars. Jarnail Singh accused Jagdish Tytler of murdering Granthi Surinder Singh as well.

Jarnail Singh also seek Public apology from Captain Amrinder for allegedly giving clean chit to the Tytler in 1984 case.
