Jharkhand, India: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has reportedly filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in connection with the Sikh genocide 1984 in Bihar-Jharkhand.
The Public Interest Litigation (PIL), filed by the President of AISSF, Bihar-Jharkhand unit, Satnam Singh Gambhir and Balwinder Kaur, who was a member of one of the victims family, was taken cognizance of by the Jharkhand High Court on Monday (Nov. 10).
The bench of Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Virendra Singh and Justice D. N. Patel took cognizance of the PIL, they said.
The AISSF leaders regretted that rehabilitation and compensation were yet to reach the genocide victims.
