March 24, 2012 | By

Moga, Punjab (March 24, 2012): Supporting the call given to Sikhs by Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana of hoisting the Kesari flags All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF – Peer Mohammad) urged the Sikh community throughout India to hoist Kesari flags atop houses, businesses and educational institutions. To show solidarity with Bhai Rajoana’s call for hoisting Kesari flags, AISSF  – Peer Mohammad also urged the Sikh youth to hold conferences, and debates on the issue of discrimination meted out to Sikhs in India based on their religion.

Citing the sentences handed out to Professor Bhullar, Jagtar Singh Hawara and Bhai Rajoana, Karnail Singh Peermohammad, President AISSF  – Peer Mohammad, stated India has different standards of law and justice for religious minority Sikhs. Peermohammad further stated that individuals like Kamal Nath, Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler who participated in genocide of Sikhs are rewarded with positions while Bhai Kehar Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda and Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha were hanged to death by Indian Government and Sikhs are given maximum sentences.

Federation chief stated that the planned execution of Bhai Rajoana is a continuous reminder to the Sikh community that since 1947 Sikhs have been discriminated in India due to their religious identity. Hoisting of Kesari flags will highlight the continuous atrocities on Sikh in India since June 1984 and culture of practice of impunity towards those who planned, executed and participated in the genocide Sikhs, added Peermohammad.

Reminding CM Parkash Singh Badal of the support that SAD (Badal) received from Bhai Rajoana during the recent elections, Peermohammad stated that it is time for SAD (Badal) MLAs to reciprocate by bringing a resolution in Punjab Vidhan Sabha in support of Bhai Rajoana.
