AISSF (Peermohammad) withdraw protest against him

Karnail Singh Peer MohammadChandigarh (July 17, 2012): Karnail Singh Peermohammad has declared to have accepted journalist Kuldeep Nayar’s apology. He has urged Nayar to withdraw that portion from his authobiography ‘Beyond the lines’ which has hurt Sikh community sentiments.

A statement in this regard was distributed by Gurpiar Singh, Peermohammad’s media advisor, in which AISSF Chief described Nayar’s apology as “his greatness”.

The statement by Peermohammad further reads that – Kuldeep Nayar in his apology said “He had no intention of hurting the sentiments and moreover, he had also decided to delete portion of his autobiography ‘on which sikhs community has raised objections.” Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad appealed to the journalist that he must withdraw the first edition of his book already released.

It is also learnt that in this respect a five members delegation of Peermohammad Federation will be meeting in person to Mr. Nayar at his residence at New Delhi on July 17, 2012 to withdraw the released edition of his book. He said Federation, ‘Sikhs for Justice’ and widows of anti-sikh riots of 1984 will be holding justice rally infront of Parliament House on July 17 to press upon the Centre to provide justice to victims of 1984 sikh genocide. The Federation will be submitting a memorandum to the Prime Minister office at 1400 hrs on July 17, he added.
