Later Karnail Singh Peermohammad president of AISSF reported the matter to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh. He pleaded that Ajay Devgan while playing a Sikh character had a Tattoo of Hindu god displayed on his chest, which is in violation of Sikh tenets.

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh asked those concerned with the film not to release the film until the objections were cleared and directed the SGPC to inquire into the matter.

Acting on the direction of the Akal Takht SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar had formed a five member committee to look into the matter.
