Gurcharan Singh Babbar said that he was issued similar direction on 17 June 2014 in which he was told appear before the Akal Takht Sahib but no date or time was specified in that letter.

“I had written to the Akal Takht Sahib on 24 June, 2014 urging the Jathedar to inform me about the date and time when I was supposed to appear. “I will appear before the Jathedars to present my side on the specified date” he added.

I have send a letter to the Akal Takht authorities requesting security as some persons had attacked me during my last visit to Akal Takht Sahib.

Gurcharan Singh Babbar had reportedly criticized Giani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib in his newspaper Qaumi Patrika after it was discovered that certain saroops of Guru Granth Sahib were being sent overseas through a shipment container from Delhi.
