Chandigarh: As per the media reports state Agriculture Department, in collaboration with the Petroleum Conservation Research Association, flagged off two vans in the interior of Punjab to educate farmers and others about ill-effects of burning crop residue.
The vans were reportedly flagged off in Chandigarh on Monday by MP Singh, Addl Chief Secretary (Development), in the presence of Naveen Gulati, Director and Chief Regional Coordinator (North), Petroleum Conservation Research Association.
These vans will operate from September to November and show videos/short clips on management techniques, distributing literature in all districts and blocks of the state. Agriculture Department officers will accompany the vehicles., notes The Tribune (TT).
