Faridkot, Punjab: Arrested Sikh preacher Bab Baljit Singh Daduwal, who was granted bail by Punjab and Haryana High court few days back, was re-arrested by Punjab police soon after he was released from Faridkot jail yesterday (Oct. 09).
A police party led by DSP Gurbhej Singh and Inspector Lakhvir Singh arrested Baba Daduwal from the gate of Faridkot jail minutes after he was released from jail.
Police booked him under preventive detention clauses – sections 107/151 of Criminal Procedure Code (Cr. P. C). He is sent to judicial custody in Faridkot Jail till October 16.
The eyewitnesses told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the police carried rearrest of Daduwal in a well organized and calculated manner. The police party arrested Baba Daduwal after his release from Faridkot jail and took him inside the Faridkot jail. Duty Magistrate Varinder Singh Saini was called inside the Faridkot Jai. The magistrate was informed about Baba Daduwal’s arrest under preventive detention clauses (107/151). After hearing police arguments the magistrate sent Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal on judicial custody till October 16.
