Badal Dal supporter damaged voting machine in Patiala, FIR registered, persons arrested

Patiala, Punjab (April 30, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) a voting machine was damaged by some persons at a polling station in Bajwa Colony in Patiala. The police has reportedly registered an FIR in this regard. The police has also taken some persons in custody for damaging the voting machine.

Till the writing of this news, the Patiala police had not the disclosed the party affiliation of the arrested persons. But the Hindustan Times (HT), in a brief update on it’s website, stated that persons belonging to ruling SAD (Badal) damaged the voting machine.

As per information mild altercations took place between supporters of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) at some places in Patiala.
