As per information Bhagwant Mann is all set to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi tomorrow (March 04).

“Where is Manpreet’s mission to change the system now? Where is his ideology that termed the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and the Congress as two sides of the same coin (corruption)? I wonder how he will seek support for the Congress in Bathinda as he had taken an oath to root out this party, while forming the PPP at Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birthplace in Khatkar Kalan… I can only wish him luck,” the Punjabi comedian reportedly Hindustan Times (HT).

PPP accuse Bhagwant Mann going against party for ‘vested interests’:

On the other hand, the People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) has reportedly been slamming Bhagwant Mann for going against the party ‘due to his vested interests’.

PPP spokesperson Navjot Dahia reportedly stated in a press release issued on March 01 that Bhagwant Mann was seeking party ticket from Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency, which was not possible due to alliance norms. That is the only reason he revolted and raised baseless issues against the party in media.

“Bagwant Mann himself had advocated alliance with the Congress for Dasuya bye-elections and even for Moga bye-poll. He had canvassed for PPP-supported Congress candidates during Zila Parished elections. As a PPP leader, he never came out for party activities after elections and never held any meeting with the party’s youth wing despite being its in-charge. He was always running away from hard work and many times, there were proposals to remove him,” the spokesperson said and added that all the allegations made by Bagwant Mann are “baseless and false–having no truth.”

PPP was formed by Manpreet Badal in 2011 after his split from Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) led by his uncle Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal.

He had termed Congress and Badal Dal as two sides of the same coin of corruption.
