Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala courts arrest; Sent to jail till November 23

Amritsar: Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, who was appointed as Takhat Kesgarh Sahib jathedar during November 10 gathering at Chabba village had courted his arrested last evening. Notably the police had surrounded Ajnala based headquarter of Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) headed by Bhai Amrik Singh yesterday, which lasted for several hours till the arrest of Bhai Amrik Singh.

According to media reports, the Ajnala police has booked Bhai Amrik Singh and his associate Gurpreet Singh under section 107/51 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Duo were presented before duty magistrate Jagsir Singh who sent them to Amritsar jail till 23 November.
