Patiala, Punjab: Bhai Bakhashish Singh alias Baba, who was convicted in Nilokheri attack on Dera Sauda Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, has been released on Feb. 03 from maximum security jail, Nabha.
Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, who maintains list of Sikh political prisoners confined in various jails in Indian subcontinent, said that Bhai Bakhshish Singh was granted bail by Punjab and Haryana High Court.
“He is released in pursuance of bail granted by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, while his appeal against the conviction lays pending in the High Court” he added.
On his arrival at his residence near Patiala, Bakhshish Singh was honoured by Sikh activists Bhai Bagicha Singh Waraich, Bibi Sohanjit Kaur, and others.
