Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara Claims Threat to Life in Burail Jail

Bathinda: It is learnt that Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara, who is undergoing imprisonment for life awarded by an Indian Court in Punjab chief minister Beant Singh execution case, has expressed threat for his life in Chandigarh Model Jail, Burail.

Attending the hearing through video-conferencing in a case registered against him in Bathinda in November 2014 in the court of additional sessions judge Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara said that six officials in the Burail jail can eliminate him. It is learnt that Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara accused jail superintendent S. K. Jain, deputy jail superintendent Pramod Khatri, head warden Jail Kishan and Dharampal, Warden Dipak Kumar and Dr. Neena Chaudhary in this regard.

Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara said this while expressing doubt over the death of Khalistan Liberation Force chief Harminder Singh Mintoo who died of cardiac arrest in Patiala Central Jail on Wednesday.

Bhai Tara’s counsel Advocate Harpal Singh Khara said after Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara’s allegations expressing threat for life, he moved an application in the court seeking protection and bring him physically in the next hearing of the case on May 11.
