Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara Presented in Jalandhar Court Amidst Tight Security

Jalandhar: Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara, a Sikh political prisoner, was yesterday presented before the court of Additional Sessions Judge-I Jalandhar amidst tight security. He was presented in case FIR No. 103 registered at Bhogpur police station in 2009 u/s 25 Arms Act and s. 17, 18 and 20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The hearing was adjourned to 16 November 2018 as the requisite state sanction in this case still awaited.

Bhaji Jagtar Singh Tara was presented by Advocate K. S. Hundal and Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur during yesterday’s court hearing.
Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was brought to Jalandhar court complex from Chandigarh Model Jail, Burail. The administration had made tight security arrangements in wake of this court hearing.
On arrival of Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara, members of the Shriomani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) welcomed him with Jiakaras and slogans.
