Ontario: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has praised a Sikh farmer, who had saved a girl from drowning using his turban. Avtar Singh Hothi, a 65-year-old farmer from Kamloops, British Columbia, had used his turban to save the teen who had fallen into the cold waters of North Thompson River close to his farm.
PM Trudeau took to microblogging website Twitter to share his feeling after he read a news report about the concerned incident.
“Read this amazing story. True heroism and quick-thinking when it matters most.”, PM Trudeau tweeting while sharing a CBC news shared by Canada Moments.
