Dehradun (June 12, 2014): Requesting the Sikh devotees to avoid coming by two wheelers due to damaged roads, management board of Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib has asked pilgrims to come by four –wheelars.
Board Chairperson, N.S. Bindra said that roads to shrine are still damaged after the disaster in June of last year. On May 25th, 2014, the first day of re-opening of the shrine, Gyani Jassa Singh Head Granthi of Gurdwara Shri Guru Hemkunt sahib had offered first ardas. Approximately 3,000 Sikh pilgrims visited the shrine on first day, from all parts of the country.
According to a news report by Sikh24, Gurdawara Board has also requested all Sikh Sangat to complete a General Registration at Gurdwara Hemkunt Trust Rishikesh Uttarakhand, for safety reasons.
