Amritsar: Dal Khalsa, All India Sikh Students Federation (Peer Mohammad) and Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP) will hold a demonstration at Moga on Nov 3 to raise the demand for UN led credible probe into the November 1984 carnage.

This was announced by party spokesman Kanwar Pal Singh after performing Ardas at AKal Takhat on the conclusion of Freedom March. Dal Khalsa head Harpal Singh Cheema and AISSF acting president Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad were also present on the occasion.

He said to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of Sikh carnage in Delhi and elsewhere, theirs affiliated groups would hold demonstration for two hours on the streets of Moga city. He said they would lit candles in the memory of innocent Sikhs who became victims of politics of genocide and hate engineered by Congress top leadership led by Rajiv Gandhi.

He said ironically every political party from AAP to BJP has coined a different meaning of justice. We are very much clear that compensation isn’t a justice, said Dal Khalsa leader and added that the aggrieved community wants to see the perpetrators and conspirators of the crime behind bars.

Stating that Nov 1984 was an attempted genocide, he said the media has been wrongly reporting it as riots.

Taking a dig at the Indian justice system, he said hope for justice has faded with the passage of time.
