Dhuri Bypoll Final Result: Gobind Longowal (67596) wins; Surjit S. Kalaboola (7554) lasted at third place

Sangrur, Punjab: Ruling regime Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)-Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Gobind Singh Longowal won Dhuri bypoll with 37501 votes. He bagged 67,596 votes.
Simar Partap Singh Barnala who contested election on Congress symbol bagged 30095 votes and lasted as first runner-up.

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) candidate Surjit Singh Kalaboola lasted at third place with 7,554 votes.

Polls were held at Dhuri on April 11. The seat had fell vacant after Congress MLA Arvind Khanna had resigned from the membership of state assembly.
