Talwandi Sabo: On July 19, 2025, Lakkhi Jungle Khalsa Jatha (Damdama Sahib) organized a discussion forum to deliberate on reviving the independent functioning of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The event witnessed participation from representatives of various Panthic and Sikh organizations as well as prominent Sikh personalities, who collectively shared their views.

Held at Bunga Ravidasian Singhian, Damdama Sahib, the gathering unanimously observed that the current management structure of Sri Akal Takht Sahib does not rest with an independent Panthic body, but is instead controlled by a political party. Furthermore, within that party, authority lies with a specific individual who is himself under the influence of worldly institutions.

During the discussion, Panthic personalities asserted that the present setup is the primary reason for the diminishing stature of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. They emphasized that political parties, driven by the lure of power, often take arbitrary decisions without the participation of the Sarbat Khalsa or the wider Panth, and without adhering to any due religious or organizational process.

Speakers reiterated that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is a sovereign and supreme institution representing the divine authority and universality of the Guru Khalsa Panth. Therefore, it cannot be subject to any worldly power or law.

The forum began with a spiritually uplifting session of Gurbani Kirtan, performed in accordance with Gurmat Maryada.

Among those present on the occasion were Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, Bhai Hardeep Singh Mehraj, Bhai Mandhir Singh, Bhai Baljinder Singh Sardulgarh, Bhai Jaswinder Singh Kundal, Baba Jagdev Singh Mansa, Sikh preacher S. Jagtar Singh, Bhai Malkeet Singh Bhawanigarh, Bhai Swaran Singh Kotdharmu, S. Gurvinder Singh Bathinda, S. Rajvinder Singh, S. Gurjeet Singh Dugga, Bhai Gamdoor Singh, and others.
