Dr Ajay Gupta To Be AAP Candidate From Amritsar Central

Chandigarh: In a press note released by the AAP on Wednesday evening, Dr Ajay Gupta has been announced as party candidate from Amritsar Central. Dr. Gupta is an MBBS, FICM and remained resident of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He is an active worker of AAP and remained Chairman of Beopar Cell Congress in 1996. He was appointed General Secretary of Distt. Congress Committee in 1997 and was elected councilor from ward no 4 defeating BJP candidate in 2002.

The candidature for Amritsar Central seat fell vacate when the previous candidate of the party Prof. Darbari Lal was alleged with corruption charges after which the party expelled him and cancelled his candidature.
