Chandigarh: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has urged the Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government to declare November 1 as the Black Day as it marks the day when Sikhs were subjected to genocidal massacres in 1984.
“Delhi government should declare 1st November as “Black Day” and also should actually observe the day as a black day, the qualified members of the victims families should be instantly provided with government jobs, their debts should be waived off and the electricity connections being disconnected should be stopped immediately”, reads a statement by the the DSGMC.
DSGMC general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Arvind Kejriwal should desist from seeking political mileage from the wounds of the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh massacre.
