EC Issues Notice to Bibi Khalra for Referring to Guru Granth Sahib as ‘Manifesto’

Khadoor Sahib: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has reportedly issued a show-cause notice to Bibi Paramjeet Kaur Khalra for saying in an interview that the values enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib were her manifesto.

Bibi Paramjeet Kaur is contesting Lok Sabha election from Khadoor Sahib constituency as Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) candidate on the ticket of Sukhpal Singh Khaira led Punjabi Ekta Part (PEP).
The notice was reportedly issued by Khadoor Sahib returning officer Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal who has sought reply from Bibi Paramjeet Kaur Khalra within 48 hours.
