EXCLUSIVE: Acquittal of Sikh leader Bhai Daljit Singh in a fabricated case highlights misuse of UAPA

Advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains and Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur explains the facts related to a 2012 case under so-called UAPA against Sikh leader Bhai Daljit Singh. This case was acquitted by the trial court on May 24, 2016.

Advo. RS Bains, who is a senior lawyer at Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Advo. Jaspal Singh Manjhpur who represented Bhai Daljit Singh throughout the trial said that draconian laws like UAPA are being misused to prevent political activism of Sikh leaders like Bhai Daljit Singh.
