Ludhiana: A Ludhiana court today granted bail to two person in Ghawaddi case. They are facing a case related to murder of Balwinder Kaur of Ghawaddi village, who was an accused in a case related to beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib.
“The court of Additional Sessions Judge Jatinder Pal Singh Khurmi today granted bail to Amritpal Singh Jodhpuri and Bhupinder Singh alias Fauja Singh alias Goldi (r/o Siona in Patiala District) today”, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone.
“Duo are expected to come out of jail in coming days”, he added.
Balwinder Kaur was accused in a case related to Beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib in Ghawaddi village in October 2015. She was shot dead in July 2016. The police have registered a case under FIR 92/16, police station Dehlon under sections 302 and 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 25 and 27 of Arms Act and sections 10, 11, 13, 17 and 20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act [UAPA]. Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told SSN that total seven persons are facing trial in this case and next date of hearing in this case is December 19.
