Ludhiana (August 05, 2012): As per media reports a gunman opened fire at a Sikh Gurudwara near Milwaukee on Sunday, and there are reports of multiple injuries.

“The incident was confirmed by a police dispatcher, but details as to how many people were caught up in the shooting are as yet unclear” reports the Guardian.

Media reports have suggested that hospitals have been told to prepare for between four and 20 people suffering from gunshot wounds.

“It is thought the gunman has yet to be apprehended” adds the Guardian.

“Fran McLaughlin, spokeswoman for the Milwaukee County sheriff’s department, said officers are at the scene, but she had no immediate information to report” reports JSOnline.com

Media reports have suggested that there were no immediate reports of fatalities.

At least four people were shot just after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, and a police SWAT team entered the building before noon and brought uninjured people out of the building at 7512 S. Howell Ave.

JSOnline report says that among those who were shot was the president of the Gurudwara.

Media reports suggest that Oak Creek police were not giving out any information at this point.

Though there is no official confirmation to that effect but media reports are suggested that one of the assailants has died.
