Kaithal, Haryana (July 06, 2014): Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee – HSGPC (ad hoc) leaders today organized a convention titled as “Haryana Sikh Samelan” at Kithal. Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda also participated in the gathering and made an announcement regarding formation of HSGPC.
It is notable that HSGPC (ad hoc) leaders have been demanding separate SGPC for Haryana; while Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and SGPC leaders were opposed to the idea of such a committee.
According to news reported by Daily Ajit, Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda was shown black flags by some Sikhs who were soon rounded up by the Haryana Police.
Earlier during his address to the rally, CM Hooda announced that the state government shall introduce a bill for formation of separate Gurdwara committee in Haryana assembly in upcoming assembly session that is scheduled to take place from 11 July.
