Kaithal, Haryana (July 5, 2014): Announcing that the Haryana government would soon bring the bill in Haryana assembly to form separate HSGPC for Sikh Gurdwaras of Haryana, congress government of Haryana on Saturday asked Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son and deputy chief minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal not to interfere in the matters of Haryana government.
Haryana PWD Minister and spokesperson of All India Congress Committee Randeep Singh Surjewala while addressing press conference in Kaithal today, said that the issue of creating separate Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Committee was already included in Congress manifesto in 2005, respecting the sentiments of Sikhs of Haryana State.
Lashing out at Indian National Lok Dal and BJP, Surjewala said that both these parties are the puppets of Badal. He urged Home Minister Rajnath Singh to respect the constitutional structure leaving the policy of discrimination. He said that the Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Badal must remember that they have huge chunk of land and a palatial house in Haryana and they must therefore support this cause. When asked about the divergent opinion of MPs Dushyant Chautala and Abhay Chautala on the issue of separate Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Surjewala said that there is a difference of thought and action in INLD, reported Babushahi.
It may be recalled that a Sikh convention has been called on July 6, 2014 in Kaithal, which will be presided over by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. PWD Minister Randeep Surjewala and Finance Minister Harmohinder Singh Chattha will also join. It is being talked in political circles that the announcement of separate Sikh panel may be made in this conclave on July 6th.
