Mumbai: After Hindu Legal Cell-Delhi and Shiv Sena, the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) is also demanding ban on director Raj Kumar Hirani’s movie ‘PK’.
Based on a police complaint filed by Meena Kamat from Panaji, accusing the film ‘PK’ of hurting the sentiments of the Hindus, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), a rightwing Hindu outfit has demanded an immediate ban on the film for “hurting sentiments of Hindus by ridiculing Hindu Dharma”.
The recently released film ‘PK’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani has Aamir Khan in the lead role.
Hindutva body in it’s police complaint said that the story of this film is supporting the conceived notion of ‘Love Jihad’ and a Pakistani Muslim youth is being glorified in it.
It alleged that the purpose behind producing such a film is creating confusion in Hindus’ mind and urged the police to register a case of crimes under section 153 A, along with 295 A and 34 and this film should be immediately banned.
Hindu Legal Cell-Delhi had accused the film for showing Hindu gods in ‘bad light’.
