Chandigarh: Indian government has reportedly said that it was open for talks on the Kartarpur Corridor issue that are scheduled for March 13 and receive the delegation from Pakistan.
Emphasising that the issue was one that is connected with the sentiments of a “significant population of the country”, New Delhi reportedly said it would welcome the delegation to take forward the project to create a corridor from India to Pakistan connecting the Kartarpur shrine.
Earlier this week the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had begun the process of demarcating the land for building a road for Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.

The corridor to be built across the border line dividing eastern and western parts of Punjab will connect Dera Baba Nanak in East Punjab with Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib in West Punjab.
Both India and Pakistan had laid foundation stones for the corridor in last November after Pakistan had announced to go ahead with construction of the corridor on its side.
As per reports the Pakistan has completed considerable portion of construction work on its side.
