It’s right time to handover Chandigarh to Punjab, says Parkash Singh Badal

Amritsar, Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that now was the proper time to handover Chandigarh to Punjab. He said that Chandigarh belongs to Punjab but due to discrimination by ‘Congress led governments in India’ Punjab was deprived of it’s capital city.
Badal said that Narendra Modi led government of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has opportunity to ‘undo the discrimination’ done by Congress governments by handing over Chandigarh to Punjab.
There is BJP government in the center and Haryana therefore there should not be any issue for trasfering Chandigarh to Punjab, said Badal.
He said that there was no differences between his party, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and the BJP. He further said that media should stop asking questions on this issue.
Punjab CM was in Amritsar (on Nov. 16) to participate in a program held by Chief Khalsa Diwan.
