New Delhi: Delhi police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) yesterday presented Sikh political prisoner Jagtar Singh Hawara before a Delhi court in FIR number 229/05. This case was registered by Alipur police station under sections 120-B, 121 and 307 of Indian Penal Code.
Sources told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the police had chained Jagtar Singh Hawara during his court appearance and tight security arrangements were made in the court complex. Local Sikhs informed SSN that Jagtar Singh Hawara is suffering has been suffering from “black pain” and was hospitalized in Tihar Jail after directions from a court.
The jail administration and other authorities failed to submit status report regarding his health in the court as a result he was presented before the court. The police personnel were seen as helping Bhai Hawara to go upstairs.
As no prosecution witness appeared before the court, the court fixed 21 and 23 February as next dates of hearing in this case.
