New York, United States (March 14, 2014): Punjabi film “Kaum De Heere”, based on events related to assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is facing a ban in India, but it was released today in United States (USA) besides some other parts of the world.
The movie was released in USA and Australia on March 14, while it shall witness it’s official launch in United Kingdom (UK) on March 21.
India’s Central Board of Film Certification had declined to grant requisite certificate to the movie on January 29.
The producers of the movie reportedly sensed that it was hard to get approval for the screening of the movie in India, and thus decided to release it in other parts of the world.
